Project Details:

Photo Gallery is a photo management application and provides management, arranging capabilities for digital photos. It provides an image viewer that can replace the default OS image viewer. So, using this software user can manage his/her photos in galleries with viewing them in a new viewer which resizes according to photo, and at same time can allow other user to view photos while controlling their access to private data. This software is mainly used in a company (while doing a project) so that photos can be made available to all the members of group and managers.

It helps users to arrange their photos in galleries, attach information to galleries as well as photos (which is helpful in sorting), rearranging photos and the order in which they appear, deleting, editing and hiding photos, creating thumbnails and enlarging photo in a different image viewer. The viewer also provides a slide show. Also the software provide three levels of access to different users namely- Administrator (having all rights), Manager (having partial rights) and others (minimum rights – view only). This feature enables photos sharing capability of the software so if one can wish to share his/her photos with a group of specified people can do so and while doing so can control their access to the information. For eg. admin can add, view, edit, delete, hide, show and can reorder all photos as well as galleries. Manager cannot delete photos. Others can only view those photos.

The Project is developed in ASP.Net by using the Visual Basic 2008(IDE). Database has been developed in Microsft SQL Server 2005 with the help of SQL.

Project Details: In the case of a larger computer system inter connected through LAN, wan or Internet the data/storage manipulation is a major issue. The IPCFS is a flexible file system that can be used for creating a larger space which is mountable as a formal file system like ext3/NTFS to the Linux machine and can perform all the properties of a file system.
The IPCFS gets bigger than a normal file system that can be build on a hard disk, CD ROM or flash memory, IPCFS is a virtual file system using all the storage area allocated to it in the network. The storage area that can be given to the IPCFS can be controlled by using all the memory area allocated to IPCFS in the network. Over all storage capacity of the IPCFS is high probably in the range of Terra bytes.
A central server machine handles the virtual file system. The memory can be used by any system that got the permission to mount the IPCFS. After mounting this user level file system will perform all the operations similar to a normal file system in the full form.
